Who is Kristin McIntyre?

KristinJ. Kristin McIntyre ("Kristin") completed her Master of Science degree (M.S.) in clinical psychology at Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri in 2002 and was provisionally licensed as a Professional Counselor in the same year. She has been fully licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Missouri since 2004 and also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) since 2004. Kristin is also a certified PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator and a member of the Christian Association for Psychological Studies (CAPS).

In 1998, Kristin began her clinical training in Marriage and Family Therapy and school guidance counseling in Oregon, and simultaneously began working with severely emotionally disturbed children in educational settings. In 2000, Kristin transferred to Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri to complete her Master of Science degree in clinical psychology and prepare for licensure in the state of Missouri as an LPC. She immediately gained employment with Alternative Opportunities dba Gateway Youth and Family Services in December 2000, and began working as a foster parent trainer under an agency contract with the state of Missouri Children’s Division simultaneously completing home studies recommending potential foster families for foster licensure. She also supervised a team of community support workers in home and community based wrap-around treatment services, and provided individual and family therapy to children in the state foster and adoption systems. Kristin graduated from Evangel University in 2002, earning Evangel's Outstanding Graduate Student award for the year 2002 and the Ozarks Area Psychological Association Outstanding Graduate Student award for the year 2002. Upon completion of her master's program, Kristin immediately returned to Evangel University in an adjunct capacity to teach introductory psychology for a few semesters. In 2003,  Kristin also began working in private practice as a contract counselor in outpatient community mental health clinics providing individual, marital, and family counseling . In 2006, Kristin established a solo practice and began providing individual, family, and group therapy to severely emotionally disturbed teenagers and adolescents in an independent living program and also provided in-home therapy services primarily through referrals from the state Children’s Division. Simultaneously Kristin continued to provide individual, marital and family therapy services in community outpatient clinics.

In the years before All Things New Counseling was established, Kristin received numerous inquiries from pastors and people in Nixa and the surrounding communities looking for a licensed Christian counselor. This ultimately led to the vision and establishment of All Things New Counseling Services, LLC in March of 2009.

Believing that God is always in the process of "making all things new," Kristin has a passion to serve her community and to see lives, marriages, families, and relationships restored.
